Shestakove attack: a man killed, two women wounded

On 28 November, the Russian army launched a guided missile attack on the village of Shestakovo Chuhuiv district. A civilian died on the spot - a man who was in his own household.


Event details

According to police, the explosion caused widespread damage to residential buildings and outbuildings. A fire broke out on the territory and quickly spread through the damaged buildings.

In Starosaltivska community, two women were injured 52 and 61 years old. They sustained explosive injuries and were hospitalised in a medical facility where they are being treated.


Actions of the investigators

Investigative teams of the National Police are working at the site. Law enforcement officers are documenting yet another Russian war crime, collecting ammunition fragments and recording the extent of the destruction.

Criminal proceedings will be opened over the attack under articles related to violations of the laws and customs of war.


Context.

The Kharkiv region remains one of the regions most frequently affected by Russian strikes. The occupiers regularly use guided aerial bombs, artillery and missiles against civilian infrastructure and residential areas.
