Two people injured in Odesa after nighttime drone attack, fires and destruction reported
Two people were injured in a nighttime attack by Russian drones in the city. Damage to energy and civilian infrastructure was also reported, and several fires broke out.
Rescuers from the State Emergency Service worked at different locations at once. The fire had to be extinguished in a service station building, a tyre warehouse, two grocery stores and a garage cooperative.
The fire destroyed several cars and damaged seven garages.
Damaged multi-storey building and psychological assistance to residents
In addition, the drone debris damaged an apartment on the 22nd floor of a residential building.
SES psychologists provided assistance to 20 residents of the house, including a child.
Context.
Russia regularly uses attack drones to attack Ukrainian cities, including energy infrastructure and civilian targets. Odesa remains one of the main targets of such attacks in southern Ukraine.
