Russia attacks energy facilities in eight regions of Ukraine at night
On the night of 6 December, Russian troops carried out another large-scale attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure. According to the Ministry of Energy, the following energy facilities were hit eight regions of the country.
Six regions are partially without power supply
According to the Ministry of Energy, the shelling caused blackouts in the following areas:
Odesa region
Chernihiv region
Kyiv region
Kharkiv region
Dnipropetrovska oblast
Mykolaiv region
Restoration work is underway there, and emergency power crews are working.
The consequences of the attack are being clarified
The Ministry informed that the nature and extent of the damage varies from region to region. In some places, power lines have been damaged, while in others, substation equipment or technological infrastructure has been affected.
Power engineers stress that the situation is under control, but there may be temporary power outages in a number of settlements while repairs are underway.
