Russian attack on Kyiv: one killed, three others injured after strike on medical facility
On the night of 5 January, Russian troops launched another attack on the capital of Ukraine. The strike damaged a four-storey building of a medical facility where an inpatient department was operating at the time of the attack.
Details of the attack
As reported by State Emergency Service of Ukraine, The hit occurred on the second floor of the building. The impact caused a fire, which rescuers quickly extinguished.
During the inspection of the premises, the rescuers found the body of a deceased person.
Those affected
According to updated SES data, as a result of the attack three more people were injured. Information on their condition is being updated.
Rescue operation
Units of the State Emergency Service, medical teams and rescue officers were involved in the aftermath of the shelling. The inspection of the damaged building has been completed.
