Nuclear units have reached rated capacity: Ukrainians will have more electricity - Omelchenko
Ukrainians will get more hours of electricity supply in the near future as nuclear power plants reached their rated operating capacity. This was stated by the Director of Energy Programmes at the Razumkov Centre Vladimir Omelchenko.
According to him, it is the increase in NPP generation that is a key factor in stabilising the power system: after the latest massive Russian strikes, nuclear generation had been operating below capacity for a long time, but has now returned to full capacity.
Omelchenko emphasised that in the absence of new attacks on critical infrastructure, Ukrainians will be able to Observe a reduction in outage schedules, and in some regions - their complete cancellation during evening peak consumption hours.
The expert also notes that the government's stabilisation plans and the work of repair teams have helped restore balance to the system more quickly, but the situation remains sensitive to any new shocks.
