Teachers' salaries will increase in the new budget

The new budget provides for an increase in teachers' salaries and an upgrade of social standards.

The new budget provides for a 30% increase in teachers' salaries from January and another 20% increase from September

The new state budget law contains a significant increase in funding for education and social standards. The most notable changes are increase in teacher salaries by +30% from 1 January and another +20% from 1 September, without revising the current remuneration model.

The document also provides for changes in key social indicators:

  • Minimum wage - will increase from UAH 8,000 to 8 647 UAH.

  • General subsistence minimum - from UAH 2,920 to 3 209 UAH.

  • Subsistence minimum for able-bodied persons - from UAH 3,028 to 3 328 UAH.

  • For persons who have lost their ability to work - from UAH 2,361 to 2 595 UAH.

What else does the budget provide for

  • 2 billion UAH remain to finance the national telethon.

  • Increase in salaries for military personnel not provided, as it is currently no budgetary resource.

The government and parliament emphasise that defence, security and critical infrastructure support remain key budget priorities, while social payments are being adapted to the conditions of the wartime economy.
