Drone strikes on educational institutions
Russian troops carried out the following actions at night a series of drone attacks in the Kharkiv region.
According to the SES, educational institutions in Chuhuiv and Shevchenkove village of Kupiansk district came under hostile attack.
The explosions resulted in large-scale fires, and the debris destroyed some of the buildings.
For preliminary information, five people were injured, including one child.
Fires in Chuhuiv district
In the village Buhayivka in Chuhuiv district a private house caught fire as a result of a drone attack.
The fire has been extinguished, no one was killed or injured.
The SES rescuers reported that the attacks were targeted - The enemy deliberately hit civilian objects.
Consequences of the shelling
In Chuguev and Shevchenkove parts of classrooms were destroyed, windows were smashed, roofs and communications were damaged.
Emergency services, police, and investigative teams are working at the scene.
The wounded were taken to hospital where they are being treated.
Rescuers' commentary
«This is another cynical shelling of peaceful educational facilities. The enemy is deliberately trying to terrorise the civilian population of Kharkiv region. Thanks to the coordinated work of rescuers and medics, more casualties were avoided», the SES reported.
