Photos of the aftermath of a UAV strike on the Rosgvardia military camp in Grozny
The first photos of the aftermath of a drone strike on a military camp belonging to the Russian Guard have been released in the Chechen city of Grozny. The images are distributed by local Telegram channels.
According to preliminary data from open sources, the explosion occurred on the territory of the facility where the Rosgvardia units are stationed. The photo shows damaged buildings, structural debris and traces of fire upon arrival.
The Chechen authorities and the Russian Ministry of Defence have not yet commented on the incident or provided information on possible casualties or the extent of the damage. Russian channels have traditionally claimed that the drone was «shot down», but the images circulated confirm that the territory of the military camp was hit.
The targeting of the facility was another case of UAV strikes deep into Russian territory, which in recent months have affected both military infrastructure and support facilities. The Ukrainian side does not officially comment on operations on the territory of the Russian Federation.
