Magyar announces “blackouts” for Russians
Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces Robert «Magyar» Brovdi wrote on his Telegram channel that Russians may soon face «inconveniences in the form of a power outage».
«Blackout is not scary. It's a bit of an inconvenience, get used to it... The SBS birds, along with other components of the Ukrainian Defence Forces» deep strike capability, promise you a rapid, albeit somewhat forced, adaptation," Brovdi was quoted as saying.
It should be noted that such statements indicate an intention to intensify strikes on the enemy's critical infrastructure in order to reduce its logistical and operational capabilities. There is currently no official confirmation of specific operations or locations in open sources.
Context and possible consequences
Damage to electricity infrastructure can have major socio-economic consequences in the affected regions, ranging from business interruptions to disruptions in healthcare and transport. At the same time, attacks on infrastructure are subject to international legal assessments depending on the purpose and method of use.
Experts remind us that such operations are usually conducted as part of a comprehensive set of «deep penetration» measures and should be combined with information and logistical preparation.
