Near Bukovel, 6 hectares of forest were illegally removed from state ownership: three people are suspected

Law enforcement exposes large-scale land scam near Polianytsia village and tourist complex «Bukovel». Illegally «withdrawn» from state ownership» 6 hectares of forestry, using forged documents and manipulations with state registers.
This was reported by Office of the Prosecutor General.

How the scheme worked

According to the investigation, the following persons were involved in the criminal scheme: state cadastral registrar and two accomplices.

The investigation established that the participants manufactured and used Forged acts of 2001-2002, based on which technical documentation was created and entered into the State Register of Property Rights inaccurate data about the allegedly legal registration of private property rights.

In this way, the following was illegally removed from the state forest fund 6 hectares of land.

Damages and searches

The expert assessment determined the damage caused to the state in the amount of more than 20.5 million UAH.

During the searches in Khmelnytskyi and Dnipro regions, law enforcement officers seized the items:

• originals and copies of documentation,

• electronic media,

• other evidence of the organisation and implementation of the scheme.

Suspicions.

Three people were served with notices of suspicion under the articles:

• ч. 3, 4 Art. 358 of the CCU - forgery of documents,

• ч. 4 Art. 190 of the CCU - fraud on an especially large scale.
