Cabinet of Ministers suspends Energoatom's vice-president Jakob Hartmut after NABU's materials
Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine urgently suspended Jacob Hartmut from his duties as Vice President and Member of the Board of NNEGC Energoatom.
This was announced by the Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko in its Telegram channel, referring to materials of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU).
«Based on the NABU's materials, the government decided to suspend Jacob Hartmut from his duties. Other officials who are being investigated have also been removed,» Svyrydenko said.
Who else was suspended
According to the Prime Minister, The government also decided to suspend:
chief consultant to the president of Energoatom, Dmitry Basov, who is already notified of suspicion of corruption offences;
Director of Finance and Budgeting;
Director of legal support;
Head of the Centralised Procurement division“.
Theirs possible involvement in abuse is currently being checked by law enforcement agencies.

The government's decision was a continuation of the anti-corruption actions at Energoatom“, after NABU and SAPO Several officials were served with suspicion notices the company in the case of embezzlement of funds through energy contracts.
Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his address stated that there can be no “schemes” in the energy sector”, and called for complete replacement of the company's management.
