10 missiles and 17 drones shot down in Cherkasy region: infrastructure damaged

The Cherkasy JFO reported that air defence forces managed to shoot down or suppress 10 Russian missiles and 17 attack UAVs, which the enemy sent to the territory of the region at night.

The massive air strike was part of Russia's overall attack on central and western Ukraine.


Consequences in Zolotonosha district

In Zolotonosha district as a result of a drone crash:

  • dry vegetation flared up,

  • power line is damaged,

  • fire brigades and power engineers were on site.


Damage to buildings

In another settlement in the region, an explosive wave and debris caused damage:

  • windows,

  • roofs,

  • individual facade elements of several private houses.

There were no casualties, and local authorities are documenting the damage and providing assistance to residents.


Context.

For several months now, the Cherkasy region has been regularly targeted by massive Russian missile and drone attacks aimed at civilian infrastructure and energy facilities.

Ukrainian air defence continues to intercept most air targets, but due to the density of attacks, some of the debris causes local fires and damage.
