Denmark allocates $171 million to support Ukrainian troops

Denmark has announced a new aid package for Ukraine worth $171 million - the funding will cover the fleet, equipment repairs, military training and rehabilitation programmes.

Denmark has allocated more than $170 million to Ukraine to support the fleet, repair equipment and train military personnel as part of a long-term assistance package.

New defence support package from Denmark

Denmark has decided to grant Ukraine DKK 1.1 billion (approx. $171 million) as part of the next military aid package.
This was reported by the Ministry of Defence of Denmark, emphasising that the new funding is aimed at Strengthening the combat capabilities of the Ukrainian Defence Forces.


What the funds will be used for

According to the official announcement, the funds will be used in several key areas:

  • Support for the Ukrainian Navy and offshore operations;

  • Tank repair and maintenance and other armoured vehicles;

  • Education and training of the Ukrainian military, In particular, the provision of educational equipment (more than 400 million kroons have been allocated for this purpose);

  • Supply of radar and auxiliary equipment, The company's main business is the production of fuel and spare parts;

  • Rehabilitation and recovery programmes for the military after being injured.


Support will last until 2028

As noted in Copenhagen, this is already 27th Defence Assistance Package, covering the period of by 2028.
It is part of a long-term programme of support for Ukraine, which includes cooperation between defence companies of the two countries, production of equipment and modernisation of weapons.

«We will continue to stand by Ukraine and support its struggle for freedom and independence,» the Danish Ministry of Defence said.
