More than a million customers in Dnipropetrovska oblast are left without heat and water
In Dnipropetrovska oblast, more than one million customers are left without heat and water supply due to emergency damage to the infrastructure. Intensive repair work is underway in the region, said the Minister of Communities and Territories Development Oleksiy Kuleba.
According to him, centralised systems have already been partially restored in several settlements, and emergency crews are working in an enhanced mode.
The left bank of the Dnipro River is receiving water with reduced pressure, and social and critical infrastructure facilities have been switched to backup power.
Details of the case
The minister noted that the main task is to stabilise the operation of heat and water supply networks as soon as possible. The work is being carried out simultaneously at several sites to minimise the risk of repeated accidents.
According to the relevant services, the repair teams are provided with the necessary equipment and materials. The priority is to restore the supply of resources to hospitals, social institutions and critical infrastructure.
The local authorities are urging residents to use water and electricity rationally until the systems are fully restored to stable operation.
