Attack on Odesa region at night
On the night of 28 September 2025 Russian troops again attacked the territory of Odesa region using attack drones.
According to the regional military administration, several drones were shot down by air defence forces, but some drones reached their targets.
Consequences of the shelling
As a result of the attack Damaged civilian infrastructure. Fires broke out at the sites where the wreckage fell, which were quickly extinguished by the State Emergency Service.

The head of the Odesa Regional State Administration said that all emergency services are working in an enhanced mode. The damage is being assessed and restoration work is underway.

In recent weeks, Russia has been regularly attacking Ukraine's southern regions with kamikaze drones. Odesa region remains one of the enemy's main targets due to its proximity to the coast and the region's important logistical role.
