Unit transformers at Kyiv CHP plant hit by drones
People's Deputy of Ukraine Alexey Kucherenko reported that during the night attack on Kyiv Drones hit block transformers at one of the city's thermal power plants.
According to him, the equipment was unprotected, which caused significant damage.
«It was the drones that damaged the block transformers at one of Kyiv's thermal power plants. They were unprotected, and this led to serious damage,» the MP said.
Consequences of the attack on the CHP plant
As a result of the impact, some of the equipment was damaged, causing malfunctions in the power system of the capital.
Power engineers are working to localise the consequences and switch the load to backup lines to avoid prolonged power outages.

The city authorities urged citizens to remain calm and limit the use of powerful electrical appliances during peak hours.
