Tusk: sabotage on railway in Poland carried out by two Ukrainian citizens who came from Belarus
Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk reported that the railway sabotage, which was previously linked to the activities of Russian agents, was carried out by two citizens of Ukraine, who came to Poland from Belarus.
«The identified individuals are two Ukrainian citizens who have been cooperating and acting in the interests of the Russian special services for a long time,» Tusk said.
The investigation identified
Polish law enforcement identified those involved in the railway bombing, but the Prime Minister noted that the data of these persons are not yet disclosed in the interests of the investigation.
Tusk stressed that the investigation is ongoing, and law enforcement agencies are working with partners to establish the full chain of coordination and support for the saboteurs.
Context.
The sabotage of a railway route carrying aid to Ukraine prompted a sharp reaction from Warsaw and discussions at the NATO level. Earlier, Polish intelligence services had pointed to a Russian trace in attempts to sabotage strategic infrastructure in the EU.
