Kyiv has transferred 3,100 drones to the frontline for the soldiers of the 225th separate assault regiment. This was announced by the mayor of the capital Vitali Klitschko.

New drones for the 225th Regiment

The Kyiv community has provided the 225th Separate Assault Regiment with significant technical support in the form of unmanned aerial vehicles. The total number of drones is 3,100, including various types of equipment for combat and reconnaissance missions.

Types of drones transferred

In particular, the transferred drones include 3000 FPV drones, The regiment also received 90 Matrice unmanned aerial vehicles, which are used for rapid reconnaissance flights and fire control. In addition, the regiment received 90 Matrice unmanned aerial systems, known for their reliability and the ability to install various equipment.

The package also includes 5 Leleka UAVs, medium-altitude drones used for long-term reconnaissance. In addition to the aircraft, 20 ground robotic systems (GRS) were delivered to help with ground tasks, including mine reconnaissance and detection.

The value of aid for the frontline

Vitali Klitschko stressed that this transfer of equipment is an important component of supporting the Ukrainian military in the difficult conditions of war. The drones will significantly increase the effectiveness of combat operations, reduce risks for personnel and improve coordination of actions on the front line.

The mayor called for further joint efforts to provide Ukrainian defenders with modern equipment and stressed the importance of supporting the army on the part of citizens and authorities.
