Three companies received lottery licences
For the first time in 12 years, Ukraine has officially issued licences to lottery operators. In total, the state budget has already received more than UAH 72 million, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation Natalia Denikeeva.
According to her, three companies have received licences to operate:
«MSL»
«Patriot»
«UNL»
Each operator paid UAH 24.2 million each for the right to operate in the Ukrainian lottery market.
How the new system will work
У Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine explain that the lottery market will operate under new control and transparency rules.
In particular, it provides for:
electronic reporting of operators
real-time control of sales and payments
QR code for each lottery ticket
Such mechanisms will allow the state to track all transactions and reduce the risks of shadow trafficking.
Why it was introduced
The Ministry of Digital Transformation emphasises that the new rules should make the lottery market more transparent and increase budget revenues.
In addition, digital control of operations should increase trust in the lottery market and ensure more effective state supervision.
