Military will be paid three times more than now - Syrskyi on new contracts
Ukrainian servicemen under new contracts will receive a threefold higher cash payment, than it is now. This was stated by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky.
According to him, the new contractual model provides for retention of bonuses and other fringe benefits, The military is currently receiving the same amount of money.
«We have been working on this contract for a long time. I understand that it is already somewhere on the way out,» said Syrsky.
What the new contracts provide for
The Commander-in-Chief clarified that the increase in cash support is part of the systemic changes in the approach to contract service, The aim is to increase the motivation of servicemen and make service in the Armed Forces more attractive.
The new contract terms are expected to be in place:
will significantly increase basic payments;
will retain their combat bonuses;
will not cancel additional allowances and compensations.
