
France will recognise Ukrainian driving licences: key results of Zelensky's meeting with Macron
During talks with the President of France Emmanuel Macron Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that an important agreement had been reached: France to start official recognition of Ukrainian driving licences. According to him, this issue was discussed the day before and Paris confirmed its readiness to implement the decision.

The President said that the city is almost completely cleared of Russian troops, but the situation remains dynamic.

The President described the territorial block of negotiations as «the most difficult question».
According to him, this part of the discussions requires maximum caution, clear coordination of positions and remains the subject of ongoing consultations with international partners.
Negotiations in the United States
Zelenskyy clarified that negotiations on territorial issues in the US lasted 6.5 hours, underlining their depth and importance for the future formula for peace.
Context.
France is one of Ukraine's key partners in defence, energy and international diplomacy. Paris actively supports Ukrainian initiatives on international platforms and remains one of the leaders in European security.
A separate topic of the meeting in Paris was the discussion of road integration and the conditions of stay of Ukrainians in France - it was in this context that the decision was made to mutually recognise driving licences.
