
FSB recruited a Ukrainian through an «intimate» dating site: he was adjusting strikes on Nikopol
The Security Service of Ukraine detained a resident of Dnipropetrovs'k region, recruited by the Russian FSB to conduct reconnaissance and adjust strikes on Nikopol. According to the investigation, the recruitment took place through the website «intimate» dating, where an agent of the Russian special services contacted the man under a fictitious profile.
After establishing contact with the curator, the FSB transferred communication to closed messengers and provided instructions on intelligence gathering.
Agent tasks
The SBU established that the man:
collected and passed on to the Russians the coordinates of Ukrainian positions and critical infrastructure in Nikopol;
corrected artillery shelling;
transmitted photos and videos of the aftermath of the attacks;
helped plan drone strikes on the city.
For this, the agent was to receive a monetary reward.
Detention and investigation
SBU operatives detained the man red-handed. During the searches, they seized mobile phones with evidence of data transmission to Russian special services.
He was served a notice of suspicion under articles on high treason and collaboration with the enemy.
