
New support package from Germany
15 October 2025 Germany has officially announced the an additional package of military assistance to Ukraine in excess of 2 billion euros.
This was announced by the Minister of Defence of Germany Boris Pistorius, noting:
“We will continue and expand our support for Ukraine. Under the new contracts, Germany will provide additional assistance worth more than €2 billion.”.
The main components of the package
Air defence systems:
Two additional systems IRIS-T with a large stockpile of missiles;
Systems Patriot to strengthen the protection of Ukraine's skies;
Radar systems to enhance target detection capabilities.
Arms and ammunition:
Artillery systems with high-precision weapons;
Missiles, ammunition and anti-tank weapons;
Portable anti-aircraft systems and modern communication systems.
Modernisation of equipment:
We also provide for the upgrade of systems that have already been transferred to extend their service life;
Adaptation of equipment to the frontline and climate conditions.
Industrial cooperation:
The signing of the Memorandum between the defence companies of Ukraine and Germany, which involves joint production and technical integration.
Berlin remains among the leaders of support
According to Pistorius, this package will be one of the largest since the beginning of 2025 and confirms Germany's intention to Strengthen Ukraine's defence capabilities in the long term.
