Horishni Plavni left without electricity and water - emergency situation in the city

As a result of Russia's massive attack on energy infrastructure in the area of Horishni Plavni (Poltava region) the city remained completely without electricity and water supply.
This was reported by city council, emphasising that power supply is not expected to be restored in the near future.

Official statement of the authorities

«Due to the critical situation with electricity and water supply, a state of emergency has been introduced in the city. All services are working around the clock,» the city council said in a statement.

Local authorities called on residents to keep calm, and stockpile drinking water and, if possible restrict movement in the city.

Horishni Plavni is located nearby Kremenchuk, which was also hit during the last of a massive Russian attack for energy and oil and gas infrastructure.
This is one of the the most powerful waves of shocks on the Ukrainian power grid since the beginning of the war.
