Kharkiv's main CHP plant cannot be restored anymore - city council deputy
The main heat and power plant Kharkiv can no longer be recovered due to the severe damage caused by the Russian attack. This was stated by a member of the Kharkiv City Council Bohdan Tkachuk.
According to him, the scale of the damage is critical, and the technical condition of the facility does not allow for full recovery even in the medium term.
Context.
Kharkiv's energy infrastructure suffered large-scale attacks during the period of severe frost. Russian attacks targeted heat generation facilities, resulting in massive heating outages and the threat of a humanitarian crisis in the city.
The city authorities and the energy sector are working on alternative heat supply schemes and emergency solutions to provide residents with heat.
