Italy prepares 12th military aid package for Ukraine - Bloomberg
Italy completes preparations 12th military assistance package for Ukraine, which will include Ammunition and missiles for the SAMP/T air defence system, the agency reports Bloomberg.
Delivery is planned for by the end of this year, after the technical details are agreed upon between the defence ministries of the two countries.
Supporting the Ukrainian sky
Systems SAMP/T of joint Italian-French production are one of the most effective air defence systems, capable of shooting down ballistic missiles and drones.
Ukraine already has one battery of this system, deployed in the spring of 2024, and has repeatedly asked its allies to provide additional missiles.
«Italy continues to stand by Ukraine's side, especially in strengthening its air shield,» government sources said, quoted by Bloomberg.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Italy has already provided 11 military aid packages to Ukraine, The military equipment included artillery systems, armoured vehicles, air defence systems and demining equipment.
The new package features support Ukraine in the face of Russia's winter attacks on energy infrastructure.
