Kadyrov announces “response” to attack on Grozny and threatens new attacks
The head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov published an address in which he commented on the nightly Russian shelling of Ukrainian cities. Russian media called last night «hellish», and Kadyrov himself said that it was allegedly a «response» to the previous explosions in Grozny.
Kadyrov voices threats again
In his address, he once again used aggressive rhetoric, saying that this was «far from over» and that the strikes would «continue». He also complained about the previous explosion in Grozny, calling it an «attack on a peaceful object», despite the lack of independent confirmation of such claims by the Russian authorities.
Rhetoric of pressure and intimidation
Kadyrov has repeatedly used public threats and intimidating statements in an attempt to put psychological pressure on Ukrainian society. Analysts emphasise that such statements are part of Russia's information and psychological operations aimed at destabilising and undermining the morale of the civilian population.
Air alerts continue in Ukraine
Due to the ongoing shelling, air alerts were announced in some regions of Ukraine at night and in the morning. Information on the consequences of the attack by Russian troops is being updated by local and central services.
