Kyiv left without heat due to Russian attack

Due to a large-scale Russian missile and drone attack on the capital's energy facilities, about 40-50% apartment buildings in Kyiv left without heating.
Mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko called on Kyiv residents who have the opportunity to do so, temporarily move out of the city, where there are alternative sources of heat and electricity.

Local services are working to restore heat and electricity supply. Utilities are repairing damaged lines and heating networks to minimise disruption to residents.

Context: Attacks on critical infrastructure continue, including the use of ballistic missiles and drones. Such attacks have previously led to heat outages in major Ukrainian cities.
