
Ukrainians over 40 will receive funds on «Diia» card for medical examination - Lyashko
From 1 January 2026 Ukrainians aged from 40 years will be able to receive state funds to the “Diia” card” to pass preventive medical examination.
This was reported by Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko.
How the programme will work
According to Lyashko, the state will compensate for the costs of medical examinations, medical consultations and laboratory tests.
The funds will be transferred to the “Diia” card”, after which the patient will be able to choose a medical institution on your own for the examination.
«We want preventive examinations to become a common practice. A person will receive money from the state, make an appointment and undergo a basic medical screening,» the minister explained.
Free medicines in case of disease detection
If the examination reveals any health problems, the patient receive an electronic prescription on free or partially reimbursed medicines.
The aim of the programme is to detection of diseases at early stages і Reducing the burden on the healthcare system.
«This is an investment in the health of Ukrainians, not an expense,» Lyashko said.
The programme will start in 2026
A pilot launch of the system is planned for early 2026, and will be expanded to all regions of Ukraine.
