All fires extinguished in Kyiv after massive Russian shelling
In Kyiv, rescuers have completely extinguished all the fires that started after a massive drone attack. Dozens of locations were hit. Two people have been reported dead. More than thirty people were injured.
Rescuers have rescued about forty people and continue to clear the rubble, check the structures of buildings and provide assistance to people who have been left homeless or without access to their homes.
Situation in the Kyiv region
The situation in the region is no less complicated. One death and more than ten injuries have been reported. The destruction is located in more than thirty locations, including Obukhov, Fastiv, Bucha and Brovary districts. Local services are working in an emergency mode, as many buildings have collapsed ceilings, damaged communications and life support systems.
Energy situation
The strikes caused damage to energy infrastructure facilities. Emergency power cuts have been introduced in a number of settlements. Power engineers are trying to restore power as quickly as possible while checking the networks for additional damage.
The work of the State Emergency Service and the police
Mobile Unbreakable Points have been deployed in the region, where people can keep warm, charge their equipment and receive psychological assistance. SES units are working continuously and using all available equipment.
The police are recording Russia's war crimes, conducting door-to-door and yard-to-yard visits, helping residents and ensuring order at the scene. Access to many buildings is temporarily restricted due to the risk of collapse. People will be allowed to collect their personal belongings as soon as the rescuers declare the premises safe.
