«Due to the night shelling, the technological process of hot water supply equipment was partially disrupted. Energy and utility companies are already working to restore supply», the administration said in a statement.
According to preliminary data, several districts of the capital were left without hot water, In particular, residential areas on the left bank and part of the central neighbourhoods.
Restoration work
City services have already started repair and restoration of damaged sections of the heat supply system.
Utility companies note that hot water supply is planned to be gradually resumed within a day after the power supply is stabilised.
The Kyiv CHPP, which suffered an emergency shutdown, is operating in backup mode.
The city authorities ask residents to consume electricity and water economically, to avoid overloading the system.
