More than 30% of Kyivstar's network remain without power throughout Ukraine
Kyivstar reported significant problems with its network across the country as a result of massive Russian attacks and overloading of the power grid. As of now more than 30% of the operator's infrastructure is left without external power supply.
The company explains that the network in a large part of the regions operates exclusively on rechargeable batteries and generators, This creates instability and possible communication disruptions.
Regional centres on backup power supply
«Kyivstar reports that five regional centres was completely switched to generator power due to a prolonged power outage.
The operator emphasises that its technical teams are working in an intensive mode, but due to the scale of damage to the power infrastructure, it is difficult to restore stable power supply in a timely manner.
Part of the network is unavailable
The company notes that about 4% base stations are currently out of service. This means that in some settlements, mobile communication may be completely absent.
The operator encourages subscribers to use Wi-Fi, and minimise the load on the grid during peak outages.
