Explosions and thick smoke in Lutsk after «Shahed» attack: food warehouses burn in the city
Lutsk came under attack by Shahed-type attack drones. One of the enemy UAVs hit an infrastructure facility within the city, causing a large-scale fire and heavy smoke. A thick grey cloud rose over the city, visible from different districts.
Mayor of the city Igor Polishchuk reported that the fire started on the territory of product warehouses in one of Lutsk's neighbourhoods. Rescuers are already working at the scene and extinguishing the fire.
Several more enemy drones in the air
The Air Force warns that the attack continues: additional attack UAVs are moving towards Volyn. The situation remains dangerous.
The authorities are calling on residents:
do not go outdoors,
close the windows,
stay in shelters or safe places,
Avoid areas where emergency services operate.
Information on possible victims and the extent of the damage is being updated.
The SES is working in an enhanced mode
Fire brigades are working to contain the fire. Due to the heavy smoke, special equipment and an increased level of protection are being used. Local authorities warn that the smoke may contain hazardous combustion products.
