Russian UAVs attack residential sector in Kharkiv region: four injured

On the night of 11 January, Russian drones attacked a residential area in Kharkiv region. At least four people were injured in the village of Movchany in the Bezlyudivska community of Kharkiv district.

According to the rescue services, the shelling caused destruction and damage to private residential buildings, as well as a large-scale fire of about 150 square metres.

Event details

We were involved in the response to the attack:

  • divisions State Emergency Service of Ukraine;

  • rescuers and sappers;

  • medical teams;

  • the local fire department.

Experts surveyed the area, cleared the debris and extinguished the fire. The victims were provided with medical assistance.

Information on the extent of the damage and the condition of the victims is being updated.

Context.

Kharkiv region remains one of the most vulnerable to attacks by Russian UAVs and rocket attacks. Russia systematically targets civilian infrastructure, residential areas and energy facilities, which creates additional risks for the civilian population.

Ukrainian civil defence services continue to work in an intensified mode, eliminating the consequences of the attacks and providing assistance to the victims.
