Massive missile Russian strikes in the Kyiv region caused widespread damage to energy facilities, as well as affected residential buildings and schools. President Zelensky called on Europe to step up production of air defence systems.
The main target is the energy sector in the Kyiv region
According to the President Vladimir Zelensky, Russian troops carried out massive blows on energy infrastructure facilities in the Kyiv region. These attacks caused significant power outages and serious damage.
In addition to energy facilities, hits were also recorded on ordinary residential buildings, schools and civilian enterprises.
Challenges against the backdrop of war in the Middle East
The President emphasised that Russia was trying to use the current war in the Middle East to increase destruction in Ukraine and Europe. He drew attention to the need for coordination of European countries to strengthen defence capabilities.
According to Zelenskyy, Europe needs to develop the production of missiles for air defence systems, in particular to protect against ballistic missiles. This will help protect the lives of civilians more effectively in the event of new threats.
Prospects for the development of air defence systems in Europe
The Ukrainian president believes that Europe has every opportunity to create a reliable system of protection against missile attacks. This is a strategic task that will help reduce risks to civilians and critical infrastructure.
Zelenskyy called on European countries to work together to develop innovative technologies in the field of air defence. This will not only increase the security of Ukraine, but also of the whole of Europe in the face of current challenges.
