Zelenskyy: Russia's statements about «nuclear weapons» in Ukraine are political pressure

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russia's accusations of alleged «nuclear weapons» in Ukraine are an element of political pressure.

According to him, Moscow is using such rhetoric against the backdrop of failures on the battlefield.

What the president said

Zelensky stressed that Ukraine has no nuclear weapons, and that such statements by the Kremlin are propaganda.

«When Russia fails to succeed on the battlefield, it starts looking for “nuclear weapons” in Ukraine - although they are not there,» the President noted.

He added that such signals are part of political pressure ahead of international and trilateral negotiations, as well as Moscow's reaction to the discussions in Europe on the nuclear umbrella.

On Flamingo missile strikes«

The President also said that Ukraine plans more successful strikes deep into Russian territory with Flamingo missiles.

According to him, during one of the launches, all the missiles hit targets at a range of up to 1400 km.

Missile production

Zelenskyy noted that missile production was resumed after Russian strikes on enterprises, and Ukraine is now increasing its pace.
