Masha Efrosinina joined the campaign against violence: «If you think you're being abused, you're not»
Masha Efrosinina joined the international 16 Days of Activism Against Violence campaign to draw attention to the problem of domestic violence in Ukraine. She posted an emotional post on her Instagram, beginning with the words: «If you think you're being abused, you're not.».
The star posted a photo from the protest, where she held a sign with the phrase «If it hits, it hits».
Why this is important right now
According to Efrosinina, about 22% women in Ukraine have experienced violence from a partner at least once.
She stressed that even in times of war and social crises, the topic of domestic violence remains relevant - and many victims remain silent due to fear, economic dependence or psychological pressure.
«This is not only a women's issue - the strong must support the weak,» Efrosynina called.
A call to action
The TV presenter urged not to ignore cries for help - to contact the police or social hotlines if you suspect violence. She also published contact numbers where victims can get support.
According to her, silence helps abusers go unpunished, and society turns a blind eye to the problem.
