Russian troops attack Vinnytsia region at night
On the night of 27 September, Russia launched a massive attack on the Vinnytsia region. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, the attack was carried out with kamikaze drones and missiles of various types.
Air defence systems hit most of the targets
Ukrainian air defence forces shot down more than two dozen enemy drones and several cruise missiles. Nevertheless, some of the strikes hit their targets.
Destruction and victims
Local authorities report damage to civilian infrastructure, private houses and energy facilities. Unfortunately, there are injured civilians, they were taken to hospitals.
Government response
The head of the Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration urged residents not to ignore air raid warnings and to stay in shelters. The President of Ukraine also reacted to the attack, stressing that Russia continues to wage terror against civilians.
