The following came under fire: a bread production facility, a car tyre plant, private and apartment buildings, and medical institutions - the building of the Institute of Cardiology in Kyiv was damaged. Fires have broken out in some cities, and rescue and emergency services are working.
Context and international response
The strike took place at the end of the week of the UN General Assembly - the Ukrainian authorities and representatives of international organisations called the attack a deliberate terrorist act against civilians and called for increased pressure on the Kremlin.
