Massive drone flights over critical infrastructure spotted in Germany
In Germany, drones were seen flying over a hospital, power plants, parliament and a refinery. It is not known who is behind this.
Threat to strategic facilities
Germany has reported a series of massive drone flights over critical infrastructure. The drones were spotted over a university hospital, several power plants, the local parliament buildings, and an oil refinery that provides fuel to Hamburg Airport.
It is not yet known who is behind these flights.
Similarities with events in Denmark
Experts point out that the situation is reminiscent of recent incidents in Denmark, where several airports were shut down due to the massive presence of drones in the airspace.
It is noted that such actions may be aimed at testing the response of security services and practicing hybrid warfare scenarios.
Government response
The Bundestag is already discussing legislative changes that would allow the army to shoot down suspicious drones not only over military bases but also in civilian areas. The draft law is currently being prepared.
The German authorities are calling on citizens to report all suspicious drone flights, especially in the vicinity of strategic facilities.
