MELOVIN's concert in Rivne was cancelled: artist's reaction
Ukrainian singer MELOVIN reacted to the disruption of his concert in Rivne, saying that similar incidents had already occurred during his performances in different cities.
According to the artist, far-right youths came to his concerts with posters and masks, and, as he claims, these people organised transport by minibuses.
Criticism of law enforcement and issues of discrimination
The singer sharply criticised state institutions and law enforcement agencies, stating that there was no proper response to manifestations of discrimination.
In his opinion, persecution of people because of their sexual orientation is unacceptable, especially given that members of the LGBT community also serve in the Ukrainian army.
Artist's reaction and further decisions
In an address to his fans on social media, MELOVIN called the situation unpleasant but expressed confidence that it would pass.
The organisers of the concert reported that the decision to postponement or final cancellation of the performance in Rivne will be decided later. At the same time, the singer's tour in other cities of Ukraine continues as planned.
