Details of the investigation
According to journalists, in state and open registers:
The authorised capital of Vangar LLC is as follows 1000 UAH;
company does not own real estate or vehicles;
there are no public signs of active economic activity.
Despite this, the firm was able to post bail of tens of millions of hryvnias for two suspects in a large-scale anti-corruption case.
In the journalistic community, this raised questions about the real sources of funds and the company's possible ties to other Midas figures.
Context.
Operation Midas by the NABU and the SAPO concerns large-scale corruption schemes in the energy sector, in particular around Energoatom.
Earlier, the court imposed preventive measures on several employees of the so-called «back office», including Alexey Chernyshev, Lesya Ustimenko, Lyudmila Zorina, and others involved in financial and logistics operations.
The posting of bail by an unknown small firm may be a separate episode for checking the financial flows in the case.
