Kyiv is preparing for winter: seven backup mini-CHPs are being launched
By the end of 2025, the capital of Ukraine will have seven mini-CHPs, which will be located in different districts of Kyiv. This was announced by the Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration Anna Starostenko.
«These mini-CHP plants will become part of the capital's energy security. They are able to provide electricity to critical infrastructure facilities in the event of possible emergencies,» the official said.
What functions will mini-CHPs perform?

Preparations for winter continue
According to Starostenko, the launch of the mini-CHP is part of the a comprehensive programme to prepare Kyiv for the winter of 2025-2026 years.
«The city is preparing for any scenario. We are doing everything to ensure the stable functioning of critical facilities even in the most difficult conditions,» she stressed.
