A Russian drone crashes on the roof of a house in Moldova - people evacuated
Around ten o'clock in the morning, a Russian attack drone was seen crashing onto the roof of a residential building in Moldova. The incident occurred in an orchard in the village of Cuhures de Jos, Floresht district.
According to preliminary data, the Russian UAV hit the security guard's house. Local residents were immediately evacuated and the area was cordoned off by police.
Event details
The drone, allegedly of Russian origin, fell on the roof of a brick building, causing minor damage to the roof. Moldovan rescuers, together with police officers, are checking the surrounding area for explosives.
The wreckage of the UAV is being examined by explosives experts. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties.
Government response
Moldovan law enforcement agencies are already conducting investigations. An official position of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and a commentary on the possible violation of the country's airspace by a Russian drone strike are expected in the near future.
