Former Minister of Economy of Ukraine and President of the Kyiv School of Economics Timofey Milovanov announced that resigns as a member of the Supervisory Board of NNEGC Energoatom«.

The decision was made against the backdrop of a high-profile corruption scandal in the company, which led to inspections and an urgent meeting of the Supervisory Board.

«I have decided to resign from my position. I believe that in the current environment, it is important to maintain trust in the company and ensure transparency of its operations,» said Milovanov.

Context.

Tymofii Mylovanov was appointed to the Supervisory Board of Energoatom in 2024 as an independent member. His participation in the company's structure was aimed at strengthening corporate governance and financial transparency of the state-owned enterprise.

Following the publication of data on possible abuses in the energy sector, Energoatom's management initiated independent audit and review of internal procedures, and a number of officials have already received suspicions from the NABU.
