NABU uncovers office in Kyiv belonging to Andrii Derkach
National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) exposed office in the centre of Kyiv, which belonged to to the family of the former MP and now senator of the Russian Federation Andrii Derkach.
According to the investigation, the premises were used for «black accounting», through which the money laundering by means of networks of non-resident companies.
Scale of financial transactions
The scheme involved dozens of controlled entities registered in different jurisdictions. According to NABU estimates, the scheme involved, about $100 million passed.
The money was used to buy luxury real estate, cars, and finance political projects linked to the influence of Russian special services.
Context.
Andrii Derkach is a former Ukrainian MP who, after the start of the full-scale invasion of fled to Russia, where he received position of senator of the russian federation.
In 2022, it was deprived of Ukrainian citizenship and US sanctions were imposed for cooperation with the Russian special services.
