NABU serves suspicion notices to five MPs for corruption during voting in the Verkhovna Rada

National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine reported on serving suspicion notices to five members of the Ukrainian Parliament, who, according to the investigation, provided undue benefit for the «required» vote in Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

According to NABU, the group had a hierarchical structure with a clear division of roles. It included both people's deputies, and employees of the Verkhovna Rada apparatus. The activities were coordinated by one of the parliamentarians.

To organise the voting, the scheme participants received instructions via a special WhatsApp group, and then Individual MPs were systematically given money.

Amounts of unlawful benefit

According to media reports citing investigation materials, The amount of the «reward» ranged from 2 to 20 thousand US dollars and depended on the outcome of the vote.
