The tax authorities have taken over the income from OnlyFans
The State Tax Service of Ukraine has announced the discovery of large-scale debt among Ukrainian models who earn through the platform OnlyFans.
According to the State Tax Service, the total amount of unpaid taxes is as follows over UAH 385 million.
«We record a significant number of citizens who receive income from abroad but do not declare it and do not pay taxes in Ukraine,» the agency said in a statement.
How the debt arose
The tax authorities explain that most models receive money directly from the foreign company OnlyFans, but do not submit annual income tax return.
The State Tax Service emphasises that such receipts are considered to be foreign income of an individual, and from them it is necessary to pay 18% of personal income tax and 1.5% of military tax.
Who has already been warned
Some models have already received official notices about debts.
In some cases, the tax authorities started enforcement proceedings through the courts.
The agency also reported that it plans to expand monitoring of online platforms, In particular, Patreon, Fansly, TikTok and Twitch, where Ukrainian users also receive income from abroad.
Context.
Earlier, the Ministry of Finance and the State Tax Service announced an initiative “tax amnesty” for digital creators, which allows you to voluntarily declare your income without penalties.
However, most OnlyFans models did not take advantage of this opportunity.
