Peskov: ceasefire in Ukraine would be a «deception», Russia only needs «peace»

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that a ceasefire in Ukraine would be «another deception and brainwashing». According to him, Moscow is not considering a temporary ceasefire, even under the pretext of a referendum.

Peskov stressed that Russia is allegedly interested «not in a pause, but in peace», effectively rejecting any proposal for a pause in the fighting.
