Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Russia had received parameters from the United States of the peace plan agreed with Ukraine in Geneva. According to him, the Russian side plans to discuss the document next week.

Peskov confirmed that:

• The United States handed over to Russia proposals developed in Geneva for a possible peaceful settlement;

• These parameters were allegedly agreed with the Ukrainian side;

• Moscow will «study and analyse» the document before further contacts.

At the same time, he refrained from assessing the content of the plan and did not specify what provisions the handed over package contained.

Context.

Geneva has become a platform for active consultations between Ukraine and its Western partners on a possible framework for a future peaceful settlement. The United States is one of the key participants in these processes, promoting the idea of a plan that would:

• provides security guarantees,

• does not contain any territorial concessions to russia.

Russia, on the other hand, continues to insist on its maximalist demands, publicly denying its readiness to compromise.
